Active Project Teams

Shaping the Future of Payments

Project Teams represent the work of the Alliance. Through active project teams, members collaborate to influence existing and emerging payment trends, drive change, remove barriers, and support innovation.  Want to incubate ideas and engage other industry thought leaders?  Alliance project teams will  create industry white papers, develop best practices initiatives, test proof of concepts - and ultimately shape the future of payments.

Project Teams Underway

Mobile Wallet

The Alliance Mobile Wallet Project Team brings together the full ecosystem of mobile wallet players for industry dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration in an effort to address key topics/concerns. The team serves as an industry forum for dialogue and provides a venue for banks, businesses and technology providers to collaborate and address specific challenges and issues facing players in this space today.

ACH Tokenization

The Payments Innovation Alliance will provide the output of its findings and research of DDA tokenization for the ACH Network, and implications for securing all DDA data (e.g., data used through check, wire or other systems).

The Payments Innovation Alliance will provide recommendations to NACHA on next steps to support DDA         tokenization. Recommendations may include input on:

  • Cost/Benefit
  • Provisioning and Routing
  •  Lifecycle management
  •  Potential impacts on NACHA Rules

Account Validation

The purpose of this effort will be to address key topics/concerns and provide a space for banks, businesses and technology providers to address specific challenges and issues facing players in the industry. Our goal is to respond to the need for account validation by highlighting what is available today, while continuing to explore future requirements as payments are migrating toward faster options such as same day ACH.
